Johan Samsing, former Einstein Fellow and then Spitzer Fellow awarded the MERAC Prize for "Best Early Career Researcher" in Theoretical Astrophysics from the European Astronomical Society

Johan Samsing, who was an Einstein Fellow, Spitzer Fellow, a member of the Princeton Society of Fellows, and Faculty Fellow at Mathey College and is currently the Louis Hansen Assistant Professor at the Niels Bohr Institute, was awarded the MERAC Prize for "Best Early Career Researcher" in Theoretical Astrophysics from the European Astronomical Society.  The prize is partly given for his seminal work during his time in the Princeton Astrophysical Sciences Department, focused on black holes and the origin of gravitational waves.
