Faculty member Prof. Jenny Greene is the new recipient of the Community Engagement Award from the Pace Center Program at Princeton University.  This award recognizes the contributions of faculty and staff at Princeton whose extraordinary commitment to service and social justice transcends the classroom.

Jenny was honored for her guidance of and dedication to the Prison Teaching Initiative (PTI). As co-founder and faculty director of PTI, Greene has helped steer the course of the program for the duration of its 17-year history, working with Princeton graduate students, faculty, and staff volunteers to provide high quality accredited coursework for incarcerated students in New Jersey prisons. At the award ceremony on November 17th, Jenny’s passion for the PTI program and the inspiration and commitment she has excited among its volunteers was highlighted in remarks by graduate student Erin Flowers, one of the PTI Fellows in Math & Physics.

Congratulations, Jenny!
