Jenny Greene, Professor of Astrophysical Science will be named the Eugene Higgins Professor of Astrophysical Sciences, effective July 1, 2025.  Starting in 2011 Greene was an Assistant Professor and has been a professor since 2016.  Earlier this year, Greene was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring, administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) on behalf of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. 

This is one of five faculty appointments to an endowed chair recently approved by Princeton’s Board of Trustees.
