Humboldt Prize Ceremony Recognizes the Achievements of Astrophysics’ Ed Belbruno

Ed Belbruno, Visiting Research Associate in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences, received the prestigious Humboldt Research Award in June 2018 in a ceremony that took place in Berlin, Germany. Subsequent to this occasion, Dr. Belbruno began his year of research abroad at the University of Augsburg. He is primarily studying the special dynamics in celestial mechanics using tools in dynamical systems and symplectic geometry.

Earlier that day, Dr. Belbruno was invited to a celebratory lunch with the President of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeier and his wife at Bellevue Palace.
