Eritas Yang, First Year Graduate Student has Received the American Physical Society LeRoy Apker Award

Eritas Yang, first year graduate student has received the APS LeRoy Apker Award “for developing a perturbative model for the long-term secular dynamics of coplanar three-planet systems, elucidating the physics of such systems.” 

According to the APS website, “The LeRoy Apker Award recognizes outstanding achievements in physics by undergraduate students, and provides encouragement to students who have demonstrated great potential for future scientific accomplishment.”  Eritas is being awarded for her work at Harvey Mudd College, recently published in The Astrophysical Journal in a paper titled: Secular Dynamics of Compact Three-Planet Systems
