Astrophysics’ Parisa Mostafavi Receives a Graduate Research Award from The University of Alabama in Huntsville

Visiting graduate student Parisa Mostafavi has been selected to receive a Graduate Research Award in the College of Science at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is currently a Visiting Student Research Collaborator working with Prof. David McComas in the Space Physics group in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton. Her research interests include investigating the structure and properties of the solar wind plasma and shock waves mediated by energetic particles.

The Graduate Research Award is conferred to an outstanding graduate student who has conducted leading edge research, published papers in peer reviewed journals and presented work at conferences. An award ceremony will be held in April at the College of Science Honors Convocation at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
