Alexandra Amon, Assistant Professor of Astrophysical Sciences was recently presented the Dolly Nicholas Innovator Award from the Caribbean Future of Science for outstanding contributions in the field of Astronomy.  “Dr. Alexandra Amon is a trailblazer in her field and an outstanding icon and role model as a Caribbean woman in science.”

The award is named after Dolly Nicholas who was born in Trinidad.  Nicholas remains the only woman to receive a Trinidad and Tobago national award for scientific invention.
