Astro Justice
Second and fourth Fridays of each month, 11:00am-12:00pm
Grand Central
AstroJustice is a forum to discuss social justice issues as they relate to astronomy and academia. It was started in 2018 in response to the murder of George Floyd and the nationwide protests that followed. The discussions have expanded to include many social justice topics, including competition in astronomy, unequal hiring practices, neurodiversity in academia, and many others. We meet ~monthly with readings provided (but not required!) and the discussion led by a member of the astronomy community.
